Rubber - EPDM

Thechnical micro cellular rubber foams are normally closed-cell ones, although very soft semi-closed cell rubbers have also been developed, which adapt better to the unevenness of the surface where they are applied. Their mechanical characteristics and resistance when exposed to wind and weather, to lubricants, to chemical agents or to fire, vary according to their chemical composition or to the added additives.

These elastomers are used in tightness applications and as dynamic joints, especially owing to their recuperation after having undergone compression ofr some time.

EPDM rubber is used in automotive weather.stripping and seals, radiator, o-rings, electrical insulation, cable-jointing, etc.

Satisfactory compatibility with fireproof hydraulic fluids, keystones, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, halogenated solvents, and concentrated acids.
